Who We Are
Our Story
Founded in 2004, CREO Solutions was the first student-run consulting group at Queen’s University. It started with a group of students who wanted more than classroom learning. They were eager to apply their skills to real-world business problems and gain hands-on experience outside of lectures and textbooks. In the early years, projects were small and mostly local, but each one helped the group build credibility and grow. Over time, CREO developed stronger connections with businesses and alumni, allowing students to work on larger, more complex projects across a range of industries. The organization brings together students from diverse academic backgrounds, giving them the chance to tackle real client projects, build practical skills, and make a real impact before graduating.
In 2024, CREO launched Astra, its data analytics consulting arm, founded by Cassandra Greidanus (CREO ‘26). Astra was built to meet the growing demand for more data-driven solutions to business challenges, combining a strong foundation in technology with a deep understanding of industry needs. The team focuses on transforming complex data into clear insights that businesses can act on. Since its founding, Astra has grown into a team of seven students from Engineering, Computing, and Commerce, each bringing a unique perspective and skill set to the table. The team works closely with clients to design tailored solutions and deliver results that are practical and actionable.
Since inception, we have worked to create lasting, measurable impact for dozens of clients in industries ranging from real estate to technology, including Barclays Capital, the United Way, and the Toronto Star. Our projects have ranged from strategic planning to market research to operational improvements, always with a focus on delivering practical results.
Today, we have over 175 alumni working at leading firms and studying at top Ivy League Business schools. Many of our alumni remain actively involved in CREO, mentoring current consultants, advising on client engagements, or serving on our board of directors. This network continues to be a key part of CREO’s growth and a resource for students looking to build their careers.
